Approach
Over 25 years of award winning design, locally and across the globe.
From public art to city scale, strengthening people’s connection with the environment and their relationships with others drives everything.
Chris believes good design is simple - free from prescribed styles or precepts. His work is built upon a passion and curiosity for purposeful solutions - enhancing clients’ vision and their sites’ innate character.
His recent work includes the multi-award-winning design of Masdar City’s first neighborhood* – one of the world’s most sustainable urban developments in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The project includes the city’s flagship district plaza, a northern gateway park, and a new visitors center site - designed in collaboration with Foster & Partners. He led the design effort for the public realm for Israel’s first underground light-rail system in Tel Aviv, including new parks, plazas, and multimodal streetscapes.
Closer to home, he was the design lead for a multi-disciplinary consulting team for the revitalization of the 14-acre Christian Science Plaza in Boston*. The plaza was originally designed in the 1970s by architects I.M. Pei & Associates and Araldo Cossutta, Associated Architects, and was designated a Boston landmark in 2011.
