The complex consists of indoor and outdoor retail streetscapes, a podium level park, a boutique hotel, an arena, and high-end residences. The development utilizes sustainable ventilation and cooling techniques and respects the finer urban grain of its neighboring districts. The project received a 5-star 2009 CNBC Arabian property award for best mixed-use development.

As the Middle East regional manager and business developer, Chris served as project manager and designer for Sorouh Real Estate's Al Mashtal mixed-use development in collaboration with Arqitectonica, Arup, and a multi-disciplinary team of local architects and engineers.

Work involved conceptual design through to construction and bidding documentation.
