Often described as a "hidden gem" along East Boston's shoreline, the park design was inspired by the movement of water and the adjacent working harbor setting. The sculptural forms and follies within the naturalistic landscape contrast with the neighboring industrial vernacular and provide new opportunities to enjoy the views of Boston's skyline from across the harbor.
Chris served as lead project designer for Massachusetts Port Authority's Navy Fuel Pier, leading a multi-disciplinary team of marine, environmental, electrical, and civil engineers.
Work began with conceptual design, involved environmental permitting and community process, and led to the construction and bidding documentation.
