Reclaiming a historic industrial corridor, the Portland Bayside masterplan establishes a mixed-use neighborhood organized by its network of streetscapes, plazas, and civic spaces. The project’s catalyst is the transformation of Lancaster Street into a vibrant retail corridor featuring Portland’s first shared street. By utilizing a curbless, multi-modal design, the plan prioritizes the pedestrian experience to stitch together new residential and retail developments within a unified public realm.
