As an integral part of The Christian Science Plaza revitalization project, Chris designed a series of finely crafted precast concrete, steel, and sustainable hardwood furniture. Close attention was paid to the integration of the furniture into the plaza geometry. The contemporary use of wood and steel sought to provide new levels of warmth and function without detracting from the plaza's modernist simplicity. The furniture was inspired by the proportions of rectangular and arched forms found in the plaza's neoclassical and modernist architecture.
